In Azerbaijan, the number of blocked malicious emails addressed to government agencies has increased

The State Service of Special Communication and Information Security of Azerbaijan processed 8,423,541 emails in the postal service for government agencies in the first half of 2026.

As reported by Report, this is 13% more than in the same period of 2025.

Of these, 5,736,086 were delivered to users, 2,687,455 were blocked due to malicious content. The number of blocked emails almost doubled (+99%).

In 2025, 17,695,349 emails were received by the state postal service, of which 5,145,784 were blocked.
