Opening of Shahin Novrasli Festival takes place - PHOTO
In the evening of July 3 in Icheri Sheher in the open air near Gosha Gala, the grand opening of the Shahin Novrasli Festival took place.
The festival opened with a fiery concert of Latin American music by Nomade and Josephine Becker. Musicians Eric Jaco (bass) and Isaac Jamba (drums) also performed in the concert.
The bright opening of the festival attracted a large number of spectators. From the very first note, the musicians managed to catch the drive and hold the attention of the audience until the last chord. The dynamic, cheerful and energetic concert quickly immersed the festival guests in the atmosphere of a Latin American celebration, with many spectators singing along with the musicians. The concert time flew by unnoticed and the musicians were seen off with a standing ovation.
Nomade is a Latin American musical group whose work is based on a combination of traditional Latin American music and modern trends. Vocalist Josephine Becker uses motifs of classical Latin American melodies in her own improvisations with her own rhythm and arrangement.
Shahin Novrasli Festival 2026 is taking place in Icheri Sheher from July 2 to 12. Over ten days, residents and guests of Baku can expect a special program of music of various genres performed by well-known musicians from ten countries of the world. As part of the Shahin Novrasli Festival 2026, there is also a festival fair, daily DJ sets, a concert of young talents, a literary competition and jam sessions.
