Australian prime minister apologizes for joke about wanting to sleep with Kylie Minogue - VIDEO
Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese apologized for his remarks about Australian superstar Kylie Minogue following the scandal surrounding the podcast.
Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese issued an unconditional apology for his comments about Kylie Minogue, which were made on a podcast and sparked widespread public outcry.
As 1news.az reports, citing ABC News, during his appearance on the Bush Deep podcast, host Nikki Osborne invited the prime minister to play the popular game “Shag, Marry, Date,” naming Kylie Minogue, Nicole Kidman, and Rhonda Burchmore.
Initially, A. Albanese tried to avoid answering, reminding her that he had married only six months earlier. However, after persistent questioning from the host, he stated that he would choose Kylie Minogue, and then, responding to a follow-up question, said: “All of the above.”
It is noted that A. Albanese’s remarks drew criticism from a number of female parliamentarians — on Monday, the head of the Australian government released an official statement in which he apologized for his words.
“I unconditionally apologize for these comments,” the statement reads.
