Body of ship captain killed off coast of Odessa buried in Lankaran
The body of Captain Samed Nasrullayev, who died as a result of an attack on the ship off the coast of Odessa, was delivered to the Lankaran district.
After the farewell in his native village of Balygchylar, the body was buried in the local cemetery.
Recall that on July 14, off the coast of Odessa, the civilian merchant ship Atlas Bey, owned by the Turkish company Okean Maritime, was attacked by a drone. There were 11 Azerbaijani citizens on board the ship, one of them, the ship's captain, died. With the assistance of the Azerbaijani diplomatic mission in Kyiv, on July 15, through Moldova, 10 Azerbaijani citizens evacuated from the board were sent home. The next day, on July 16, the body of S. Nasrullayev was discovered and delivered to Odessa.
