Speed test Global Index: Azerbaijan leads the South Caucasus in mobile internet speed
The rating platform Speed test Global Index conducted a large-scale study of internet speed in various countries around the world, including the South Caucasus region. According to the results of June, Azerbaijan took first place in the South Caucasus and 46th place among 98 countries in the world in terms of mobile internet speed.
The average mobile internet speed in Azerbaijan was recorded at 98.61 Mbps. In the same segment, Georgia ranked 17th, and Armenia took 61st place. The world leader in mobile internet speed was the United Arab Emirates with an indicator of 672.87 Mbps.
In the global ranking of fixed broadband internet, covering 149 countries, Azerbaijan took 84th place with an average speed of 92.18 Mbps. Armenia was in 85th place (91.69 Mbps), and Georgia took 107th place (50.83 Mbps). The highest fixed internet speed in the world was noted in Singapore, where the indicator reached 447.75 Mbps.
