Up to +41°C: Weather forecast for Azerbaijan in August published
In August, the average monthly air temperature in Azerbaijan is expected to be close to the climate norm, and in some areas somewhat above the norm.

In the first days of August, predominantly dry weather will persist over most of the country's territory. At the same time, short-term rains and thunderstorms are possible in some mountainous and foothill areas.
Baku and the Absheron Peninsula
The average monthly air temperature is expected to be 26-28°C, which corresponds to the climate norm or slightly exceeds it. The air temperature at night will be 22-27°C, and during the day 30-35°C, while on some days of the first and second ten-day periods thermometer readings may approach 40°C. The monthly amount of precipitation is expected to be within the climate norm (6-8 mm).
Nakhchivan, Julfa, Ordubad, Sadarak, Shahbuz and Sharur
The average monthly air temperature will be 27-29°C, which is close to the climate norm or slightly above it. At night, 22-27°C is expected, and during the day 33-38°C, while on some days of the first and second ten-day periods the temperature may reach around 41°C. Precipitation is forecast to be within the norm (6-10 mm).
Khankendi, Shusha, Khojaly, Khojavend, Aghdam, Goranboy, Dashkesan and Gadabay
The average air temperature is expected to be 22–25°C, which corresponds to the climate norm. At night the temperature will be 15–20°C, during the day 22–27°C, however on some days of the first and second ten-day periods the air may warm up to 34–38°C. Precipitation is expected to be within the norm (26–55 mm).
Jabrayil, Kalbajar, Gubadly, Lachin and Zangilan
The average monthly air temperature is forecast to be 23-25°C, which corresponds to the climate norm. At night, 15-20°C is expected, during the day 22-27°C, and on some days of the first and second ten-day periods the temperature may reach 35-38°C. The amount of precipitation is expected to be within the norm (15-37 mm).
Gazakh, Ganja, Agstafa, Shamkir, Tovuz, Terter and Fizuli
The average monthly temperature will be 25-28°C, which is close to the climate norm or slightly above it. At night, 22–27°C is expected, during the day 33–38°C, and on some days of the first and second ten-day periods up to 41°C. Precipitation is forecast to be within the norm (19–27 mm).
Balaken, Zagatala, Gakh, Sheki, Oguz, Gabala, Ismayilli, Agsu, Shamakhi, Siyazan, Shabran, Khizi, Guba, Khachmaz and Gusar
The average air temperature is expected to be 23–27°C, which corresponds to the climate norm or slightly exceeds it. At night the temperature will be 19–24°C, during the day 30–35°C, and on some days of the first and second ten-day periods it may reach 37–39°C. The amount of precipitation is expected to be within the climate norm, and in some places somewhat above the norm (13–116 mm).
Yevlakh, Goychay, Agdash, Kurdamir, Imishli, Agjabedi, Mingachevir, Beylagan, Sabirabad, Saatly, Shirvan, Hajigabul, Zardab, Salyan and Neftchala

At night, 22–27°C is expected, during the day 33–38°C, and on some days of the first and second ten-day periods the temperature may approach 41°C.
