A suspect in the theft of gold jewelry worth 5,000 manats from a home in Absheron, posing as an apartment buyer, has been detained.

As 1news.az reports, this was announced by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

It is reported that as a result of the measures taken, the 31-year-old R. Guliyeva, suspected of committing this act, was identified and detained.

During the investigation, it was established that the detainee entered the apartment, posing as a buyer wishing to purchase housing, and committed the theft, taking advantage of the homeowner's inattention.

An investigation is underway into the incident.
