Armenia's Constitutional Court begins review of framework agreement on the TRIPP project
Armenia's Constitutional Court has accepted for consideration the case on verifying the compliance of the framework agreement on the TRIPP project with the Constitution.
As reported with reference to Armenian media, the hearing is scheduled for September 15 and will be held in written form. Judge Edgar Shatiryan has been designated as the rapporteur.
The document was signed by the heads of the foreign affairs agencies of Armenia and the United States: on June 1 in Washington it was signed by U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and on June 4 in Yerevan by Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan.
The court will have to determine whether the obligations enshrined in the agreement comply with the country's Basic Law.
