Russian Foreign Ministry reports attempts by Armenia to raise the stakes and "resort to blackmail"

Moscow is observing attempts by Yerevan to raise the stakes and "resort to blackmail" in relations with Russia, the Russian Foreign Ministry said.

Yerevan is trying to raise the stakes in relations with Russia instead of engaging in constructive dialogue, said Alexey Fadeev, deputy director of the Information and Press Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

"In the context of Russian-Armenian relations, instead of constructive dialogue, we are seeing attempts by Yerevan to play at raising the stakes or simply to resort to blackmail," Fadeev said during a briefing.
