Dozens of spectators injured at the famous Castell de l'Olla festival in Spain
At the annual Castell de l'Olla fireworks festival in Spain, 27 people were injured due to a pyrotechnics malfunction.
It is noted that the Castell de l'Olla festival, held for 40 years in the town of Altea in the province of Alicante, drew about 100,000 people. The fireworks are launched from floating platforms at sea.
According to the radio station, 14 of the total number of those injured were taken to the IMED hospital, 11 of whom were subsequently transferred to the Burn Unit of the Alicante General University Hospital.
