Masoud Pezeshkian says Iran's relations with Azerbaijan and other neighbors have improved - VIDEO

Tehran is expanding cooperation with neighboring states, and relations with Baku, Islamabad, and Kabul are showing positive momentum.

This was stated by Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, who emphasized that communication with the countries of the region is improving compared with the past. The head of state fully disclosed the details of the talks with Baku, as well as the nature of cooperation with other neighboring countries:

"Our interaction with the countries of the region is improving — compared with the past and, of course, compared with the height of the war, since before that relations were very good. Pakistan is now cooperating wholeheartedly. Cooperation from Afghanistan is very good. With Turkmenistan it is good. Afghanistan and Pakistan prevented terrorists and separatists from entering the country from their territories. Azerbaijan closed all the routes and shut down our bank... We called and spoke with them; after a two-hour conversation they reopened everything. The bank, the embassy, and the routes — everything started working again. During the war they substantially helped us with various routes — whether for deliveries to Russia or for their own needs — they accompanied us and helped with everything we needed. The same applies to Iraq."
