Lukashenko receives the Lenin Prize of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has received the Lenin Prize of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF).

The special diploma and honorary badge were presented to the head of state by Gennady Zyuganov, chairman of the CPRF Central Committee and head of the CPRF faction in Russia's State Duma, during a meeting with the Belarusian leader in Minsk.

According to the BelTA news agency, the prize was awarded to the president of the republic in 2024 for his "tireless and consistent work to promote the ideas of a just multipolar world and his contribution to expanding the practice of its formation," his constant efforts to strengthen the Union State, his personal involvement in preserving the historical heritage and values of the Soviet era, and his important role in strengthening the friendship and brotherhood of the peoples of the two countries.

The Lenin Prize of the CPRF Central Committee was revived in 2017 and is awarded for a special contribution to socially significant activities that promote the principles of justice and humanism, for achievements in advanced production and social practice, and in research and cultural activities.

At various times, the Lenin Prize of the CPRF Central Committee has been awarded to First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba Raul Castro, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam Nguyen Phu Trong, Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega, and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, the agency recalls.
