Media: Trump was protected by an Avenger air defense system while playing golf due to threats from Iran - PHOTO - VIDEO
The U.S. Secret Service has deployed the Army's short-range AN/TWQ-1 Avenger anti-aircraft missile systems to protect the country's president, Donald Trump, while he played golf in Bedminster, New Jersey.
This was reported by the portal The War Zone (TWZ).
According to its information, photographs began circulating on social media showing Trump swinging a golf club, while barbed wire and American air defense systems are clearly visible in the background. The latest images appeared after the American leader attended the final of the LIV Golf tournament at his course in New Jersey over the weekend. Representatives of the U.S. president's administration confirmed to the portal the authenticity of the photographs.
The North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD), for its part, stated that the Avenger air defense system is indeed being used to protect the president, but declined to disclose details about how widespread such practice is. On the same day, American F-16 fighter jets intercepted several aircraft that violated flight restrictions over the golf club in Bedminster, where Trump was located.

The American leader has been the target of assassination attempts three times. The first two attempts occurred in 2024 during his election campaign — in July he was shot at during a campaign rally in Butler County, Pennsylvania, and two months later another perpetrator was detained with a weapon near the Trump International Golf Club in Palm Beach, Florida, where Trump was located. The third assassination attempt occurred on April 25, 2026, at the Washington Hilton hotel in the capital during the annual reception of the White House Correspondents' Association, which was attended by the entire top leadership of the American administration.
