According to the agency, the consultations are being held behind closed doors. The source explained that the parties are exchanging views on approaches to creating such a mechanism and its possible parameters. At the same time, specific details are so far lacking.
The source also spoke about contacts between Turkey and Russia regarding the situation around Ukraine.
"Contacts between Ankara and Moscow on the situation in Ukraine are continuing at various levels, including in the format of so-called telephone diplomacy. The parties maintain direct channels of communication and use them when necessary," he noted.
