Media: U.S. and Iran agree to extend 60-day truce

The United States and Iran have agreed to extend the 60-day truce established under the Islamabad Memorandum.

Sources in the government of Pakistan told the Anadolu agency about this.

According to them, the current cease-fire agreement expires on August 17. The parties have notified the mediators of their consent to extend it.

“Both sides have informed the mediators of their agreement to extend the term of the agreement,” said a source close to the mediation process.

The source added that the parties are currently exchanging messages to agree on a new deadline.
