86.5 kg of marijuana found in São Paulo club bus in Brazil

Brazilian police discovered a large shipment of drugs in the bus of the São Paulo football club, UOL reports.

The bus, which was supposed to transport the club's delegation from São Paulo during the club's stay in Bolivia as part of the Copa Libertadores, was stopped on Tuesday, August 11, near the city of Cochabamba with 86.5 kg of marijuana. Four packages of drugs were found in the vehicle.

During the operation carried out by the mobile unit of the Bolivian police for rural areas (UMOPAR), three people were arrested. The drivers responsible for transporting the drugs were among those arrested.

Later, the São Paulo club was provided with another bus to travel to the venue of the match.

São Paulo is a six-time Brazilian football champion and a three-time winner of the Copa Libertadores.
