Explosive device found on railway in the German city of Treuchtlingen
An explosive device has been found on the railway tracks at the station in the German city of Treuchtlingen (Bavaria — ed.).
As Report informs, this was reported by the newspaper Bild.
"Special forces of the federal police are currently investigating a potentially explosive object. Analysis of the X-ray images obtained is still ongoing. Extensive traffic restrictions remain in force for now. At this point, we cannot yet predict how long the road and rail traffic restrictions will last. We ask you to avoid the area of Alte Burgstrasse/Wettelsheimerstrasse," the police statement said.
Train traffic in the Treuchtlingen area has been completely suspended.
The city is located in the Weissenburg-Gunzenhausen district and has about 13,000 residents.
Earlier it was reported that a bomb had been found on the territory of the Jülich Research Center in Germany, and the institution was temporarily closed.
