Head of Armenia's military police resigns

The head of the military police, Ashot Zakaryan, has submitted a letter of resignation.

This was reported by the newspaper "Hraparak" citing its sources.

After a government session on Thursday, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that following the death of serviceman Grigor Zakaryan, personnel changes will take place in the military police and in the department of moral and psychological training.

Recall that on August 13 the Ministry of Defense reported the discovery of the body of Grigor Edgarovich Zakaryan, a serviceman of military unit N, with a gunshot wound.

This is the second case of a serviceman's death in the past month. In July, it became known that conscript serviceman Narek Torosyan had died.
