17 iPhones and hundreds of spare parts: passenger from Istanbul detained at Baku airport

As a result of customs control measures carried out by officers of the Main Customs Department for Air Transport, 17 undeclared mobile phones were discovered, along with a large number of spare parts and accessories for them.

As 1news.az reports with reference to the State Customs Committee, the suitcase of a citizen of the Republic of Azerbaijan who arrived on the Istanbul–Baku flight was subjected to customs inspection.

During the inspection, 17 iPhone mobile phones of various models that had not been declared to the customs authority were found in the suitcase, as well as 190 screens and accessories for mobile phones of various brands.

An investigation is underway into this incident.
