Foreign Ministry: Russia sees no grounds for half-measures that would give Ukraine a respite
Russia sees no grounds for half-measures that would give Kyiv a respite, said the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova, commenting on Turkey's proposal to halt hostilities in the Black Sea.
Earlier, the head of the Turkish Foreign Ministry, Hakan Fidan, stated that Ankara had conveyed to Russia and Ukraine a proposal to declare a moratorium on military operations in the Black Sea.
"We do not see any prerequisites for an improvement of the situation, and consequently no grounds for half-hearted measures, which only give the Kyiv regime a temporary respite," reads Zakharova's statement published on the Foreign Ministry's website.
