Media: Iran is preparing for a resumption of the conflict with the U.S. and Israel
The intelligence services of several Arab countries have obtained information about Iran's preparations for a possible expansion of the conflict with the U.S. and Israel.
This was reported by The Wall Street Journal, citing sources.
According to the publication, Tehran seeks to inflict such damage on its adversaries that would prevent new strikes on Iran. The role of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps is growing in the country, hardliners are being appointed to key posts, and the production of missiles and drones is accelerating.
Among the possible escalation scenarios, the sources name sabotage against internet cables in the Persian Gulf and attempts to destabilize the situation in Kuwait and Bahrain. Ground operations in Kuwait are also not ruled out.
According to the WSJ, information about the preparation of these plans was obtained in part thanks to the interception of Iran's communications with allied groups in Yemen and Iraq.
