A strike hit the office of the prime minister of Iraqi Kurdistan
The head of the government of Iraqi Kurdistan, Masrour Barzani, reported that his office had come under attack by an Iranian drone.
"Following an investigation carried out by the counterterrorism unit of Iraqi Kurdistan, it was determined that my personal office and the residence of the head of the Security and Intelligence Agency came under attack today by Iranian drones," Barzani wrote on X. The head of the regional government condemned the attacks, calling them "a dangerous escalation and a direct threat to the security and stability of Iraqi Kurdistan."
"These attacks will not force us to abandon the fulfillment of our duties and the protection of our citizens," Barzani emphasized.
