The U.S. will "bomb Oman to hell" if Muscat stands in the way of settling the situation in the Middle East.

American President Donald Trump said this in an interview with the Fox News television channel.

At the same time, Trump noted that Washington is in no hurry on the issue of concluding an agreement with Tehran. Nevertheless, the American side maintains contact with the leadership of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC, elite units of the armed forces) through unofficial channels, the politician added.

On August 17, the Saudi television channel Al Arabiya reported that the U.S. and Iran are ready to extend the 60-day cease-fire regime.
