IRGC denies Trump's statements about behind-the-scenes talks

A representative of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), General Hossein Mohebbi, denied a statement by U.S. President Donald Trump that Washington is conducting negotiations through a behind-the-scenes channel with IRGC representatives on issues related to the war.

"There is no dialogue between IRGC representatives and the Americans; this false statement by Trump is nothing more than fantasies born of imagination and nightmares stemming from his despair and defeat in the war," he said.

Earlier, U.S. President Donald Trump said there was an unofficial communication channel with the IRGC, Fox News journalist Trey Yingst reported.
