School shooting in the Philippines leaves people dead - VIDEO

A ninth-grade student opened fire at a school in the southern Philippines, killing two people — the shooter himself and another student.

According to police, the shooting took place at a school affiliated with the private Ateneo de Zamboanga University in the city of Zamboanga. The ninth-grade student brought a rifle onto the premises of the institution and opened fire on other students, after which he took his own life.

As a result of the shooting, another student was killed; he was in the 10th grade. According to university president Ernald Andal, no further reports of deaths or injuries have been received.
