Inspections are being carried out in the Armenian army
Armenian Defense Minister Suren Papikyan has decided to conduct surprise inspections at military units.
He wrote about this on social media.
"I am conducting surprise inspections, keeping in focus all issues — from the classes provided for by the daily routine to all other aspects of the organization of service," the head of the agency wrote.
Earlier, Papikyan reported that a systematic fight against criminal subculture is being waged in the army. The minister noted that, by his decision, groups of officers will be sent to military units on duty in order to provide support to servicemen and colleagues on the ground, as well as to organize service in the troops.
As a reminder, on August 13, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, commenting on incidents in the army and the situation in the Armed Forces in general, announced personnel changes in the structures directly responsible for this sphere. Immediately after that, the head of the Directorate for Moral and Psychological Training of the Armed Forces, Serezh Stepanyan, and the head of the Military Police, Ashot Zakaryan, were dismissed.
