Armenia intends to deepen relations with Turkey, the EU and the U.S. over the next five years

The party of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Civil Contract, has named its foreign policy priorities for the next five years.

The draft was published on the website of the country's unified electronic government portal.

According to the document, over the next five years Armenia plans to work on establishing diplomatic relations with Turkey. In addition, the republic's foreign policy provides for the further development of cooperation with the European Union within the framework of the Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement.

Armenia's ruling party is also focused on deepening relations with the United States. One of the main areas of cooperation with the Americans is considered to be the TRIPP project, also known as the "Trump Route." It provides for the construction of a 42-kilometer transport corridor between Armenia and Azerbaijan. According to the agreements reached, Armenia and the United States are creating a joint venture, TRIPP Development Company, in which the American side is allocated 74% of the shares and the Armenian side 26%.
