Iran threatens the U.S. with powerful weapons if hostilities resume
Tehran is ready to respond with more powerful weapons than in the previous phase of the conflict with Washington in the event of new hostilities on the part of the United States.
This was stated to the Defa Press agency by Hossein Mohebbi, the official representative of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
"If the war starts again, then, of course, the weapons we use will be different, and this difference may manifest itself in the generation of warheads, accuracy of hits, missile range, or any other indicator," he said.
The military official noted that Iran works daily on improving its military capabilities, producing more accurate, destructive, and technologically advanced weapons.
On June 18, the United States and Iran concluded a temporary memorandum of understanding, which is intended to cement the cessation of hostilities and launch a new stage of negotiations. The document was designed for 60 days. However, just a few days later, the American leadership accused Iran of violating the ceasefire regime in the Strait of Hormuz. Tehran likewise accused the American military of carrying out strikes.
