Ukrainian drones hit the Lukoil-Permnefteorgsintez refinery - PHOTO

This morning, Russia's Perm was attacked by drones; strikes were reported on the Lukoil-Permnefteorgsintez oil refinery.

Local media and Telegram channels published videos showing a siren sounding over the city, as well as the sounds of explosions. The regional ministry of territorial security stated that a drone attack was being repelled in Perm Krai. Also, at 6 a.m., Rosaviatsia reported that "temporary restrictions on the reception and departure of aircraft" had been introduced at the Perm airport (Bolshoye Savino).

Shortly afterward, footage began to appear showing a huge column of smoke. It is reported that the Lukoil-Permnefteorgsintez refinery was hit. It is one of Russia's key refineries. The plant processes more than 13 million tons of oil per year and produces a wide range of products, including high-quality gasoline, diesel fuel, aviation kerosene, and lubricating oils. The plant is a key industrial facility in the region and one of the most technologically equipped in the country, supplying fuel to both the domestic market and for export.

The Lukoil-Permnefteorgsintez refinery has already been repeatedly subjected to drone attacks. In particular, after the attack on May 7, 6 of the 10 fuel tanks at the plant burned down completely.
