Subway station in central New York flooded due to downpour - VIDEO
One of the central stations of the New York subway was flooded due to a heavy downpour that hit the metropolis, ABC News reports.
The footage published by the television channel shows streams of water flowing onto the platform of Penn Station, which is located near the railway station of the same name in the center of Manhattan. The local television channel Pix11, in turn, reported that trains on several subway lines in New York are running with long delays because of the bad weather, and traffic on one of the highways in Brooklyn came to a halt.
Meteorologists warn of the danger of flooding in the states of New York and New Jersey due to the bad weather, which could paralyze traffic in areas with poor drainage systems.
