European Commission preparing new support program for Ukraine starting in 2028

The European Commission (EC) is preparing a new program to finance Ukraine from the European Union budget starting in 2028, worth €100 billion.

European Council President Antonio Costa told the Ukrinform agency about this.

"At the moment, the preparation of the new EU budget (this refers to the EU's seven-year framework budget for 2028-2034 - TASS note) is under discussion, but the European Commission's proposals include a new cooperation program with Ukraine worth €100 billion," Costa said.

At present, European Union funding for Kyiv has been approved through the end of 2027 in the amount of €90 billion.
