Azerbaijan identifies 57 citizens who had been considered missing - PHOTO

In January–August 2026, the remains of a total of 79 people were found and exhumed.

As 1news.az reports, this was stated in the final report of the State Commission on Prisoners of War, Missing Persons and Hostages.

It is noted that over the eight months of this year, the identities of 57 missing citizens were established, and the remains of 64 people were handed over to their families and buried.

Currently, 3,682 people are still listed as missing.
