In accordance with the requirements of the Convention of October 7, 2002, "On Legal Assistance and Legal Relations in Civil, Family and Criminal Cases," the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation granted the requests of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan for the extradition of Azerbaijani citizens Nahid Alijanli and Renad Orujov.

1news.az reports this citing the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Thus, within the framework of a criminal case investigated by the Military Prosecutor's Office of the Gubadli district, reasonable suspicions were established that Nahid Alijanli, being a serviceman on extended active military service, evaded service.

With regard to Renad Orujov, within the framework of a criminal case investigated by the Police Department of the Nizami district of Baku, reasonable suspicions were established of committing fraud that caused significant damage.

In this connection, rulings were issued to charge both of them as defendants. Since they had absconded from the investigation, they were put on the interstate wanted list.

Both individuals were detained on the territory of the Russian Federation and were brought to Azerbaijan by the relevant bodies of the Ministry of Justice.
