Afra Saraçoğlu comments for the first time on positive drug test results
Turkish actress Afra Saraçoğlu has commented on the results of an analysis conducted as part of an investigation by the Istanbul prosecutor's office. The examination of a sample of her hair revealed cocaine.
The actress stated that she decided to come forward with an explanation after the forensic medical report was added to the case file.
According to Saraçoğlu, upon learning about the investigation, she cut short a trip abroad, returned to Turkey on her own initiative, and cooperated with law enforcement agencies from the very beginning.
She also noted that during the search of her home, carried out while she was away, no prohibited substances were found.
Speaking about the result of the hair analysis, Saraçoğlu emphasized that it came as a surprise to her. She referred to specialists, according to whom hair can be exposed to various external factors.
"Because of my profession, I attend crowded events, so such traces can remain as a result of passive exposure or contact, even if a person is not aware of it," the actress said.
Saraçoğlu also emphasized that blood and urine tests did not reveal any prohibited substances. According to her, this confirms that she does not use drugs.
In conclusion, the actress thanked the officers of the Istanbul gendarmerie for their professional and courteous treatment during the procedural measures. She stated that she is categorically against the use of prohibited substances and that there is no place for them in her life.
"Endless love to everyone who worried, trusted, and supported me," Saraçoğlu wrote.
As a reminder, the investigation began on September 18. On September 21, Saraçoğlu was detained at the Istanbul airport after returning from France.
