Minister: Azerbaijan's Investment Climate Considered Reliable for Investors
“The existing macroeconomic stability in our country, the protection of investments, and the favorable business environment created here form an atmosphere of long-term trust for investors.”
As reported by 1news.az, this statement was made by the Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov at the forum “A Look into the Future of the Tax System: New Management Model and Data-Driven Solutions.”
The Minister noted that Azerbaijan's strategic geographical location, transport and logistics capabilities, developed infrastructure in economic zones, tax and customs incentives, as well as mechanisms for public-private partnerships and joint investment funds established with various countries, enable investors to participate in sustainable projects and build partnerships that bring technology, investment, and expertise.
M. Jabbarov emphasized that against the backdrop of positive trends in Azerbaijan's economy, the country's credit rating has also improved. According to him, the rating agencies Fitch Ratings and Moody’s have raised Azerbaijan's sovereign credit rating to investment grade.
The Minister added that the forecast for the country's rating for the next period has been assessed as “stable” and “positive,” respectively.
