Azerbaijan becomes the largest supplier of oil to Czechia in 2025 - media
Azerbaijan has become the largest supplier of oil to Czechia in 2025.
This was reported by the news agency ČTK, as cited by TASS.
Czechia purchased 42% of the oil it received last year from Azerbaijan. According to the agency, Russia's share in the import of this type of energy resource has decreased to a minimum. Supplies from Russia accounted for 7.7% of the total volume of oil received by the republic in 2025.
After February 24, 2022, Czechia accelerated the diversification of its oil supply sources, gradually phasing out imports from Russia. Energy resources are now supplied to the republic, in particular, from Norway, Kazakhstan, and Saudi Arabia. In total, Czechia received 6.85 million tons of oil in 2025, which is 5.5% more compared to the previous year.
