On July 12 in Las Vegas, USA, the mixed martial arts tournament UFC 329 took place.

In the main fight, the former champion of the organization in two weight categories, the Irishman Conor McGregor, held a rematch with the former holder of the title in the featherweight (up to 65 kg) American Max Holloway.

The fight ended in the first round with Holloway's victory. McGregor suffered a knee injury, slipping in the first seconds of the fight. Further, the Irishman could not stand on his feet and fell twice, the referee was forced to stop the fight. The opponents inflicted almost no damage on each other.

The first fight between the opponents took place in 2013 and ended with the Irishman's victory by unanimous decision of the judges. For McGregor, this was the first fight after a five-year break — the last time he entered the octagon was in July 2021. Holloway remained active: in 2025 and 2026 he held two fights, defeating Dustin Poirier and losing to Charles Oliveira.

Conor now has 22 wins and seven losses in MMA. Holloway has 28 wins and nine losses.
