Trump calls U.S. elections a "total mess"

U.S. President Donald Trump has criticized the country's electoral system, saying that elections in the United States are in a state of "total mess."

In an interview with Punchbowl News, Trump said he supports a mandatory photo ID requirement for voting, calling it a necessary condition for confirming voters' identities.

According to the president, in the United States some everyday services require presenting identification documents, whereas no such requirements exist for voting.

Trump also said he does not fear a possible impeachment procedure, calling himself one of the "greatest leaders" in U.S. history. In addition, he once again accused Democrats of supporting an open-borders policy and other initiatives that he criticizes.
