Baku to host international forum on the future of transport corridors in the Black Sea-Caspian region
From September 7 to 9, the 5th International Conference and Exhibition Black and Caspian Freight Forum 2026: Corridors, Infrastructure, Investments will be held in Baku. The event will take place at the Four Seasons hotel.
As reported by AZERTAC, the event is expected to be attended by representatives of state structures, international financial organizations, port and railway companies, the transport and logistics sector, investment circles, as well as business and expert organizations.
The organizers of the event are RDL Group and the analytical center CASPIA.
One of the main topics of discussion at the forum will be the development of the Middle Corridor and its role in expanding transport links between Central Asia, the South Caucasus, Turkey, and Europe. Along with the prospects for the development of the corridor, participants will discuss key issues affecting its practical efficiency – the capacity of infrastructure, the state of port and railway networks, coordination between different modes of transport, investment needs, and the digitalization of logistics processes.
Among the main areas of discussion will also be issues of the dynamics of cargo transportation across the Caspian Sea, the development of port and railway infrastructure, strengthening cooperation between transport operators, as well as opportunities for closer linkage of the transport networks of Central Asia and the South Caucasus with the Black Sea region and Europe.
The forum will also separately consider new infrastructure initiatives in the region, including TRIPP – the “Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity” – and their possible impact on regional connectivity.
In addition, an exchange of views will take place on issues of attracting investment in transport infrastructure, the development of multimodal transportation, expanding the volume of cargo transportation across the Caspian and Black Seas, the digitalization of logistics, and the prospects for international transport corridors.
