Over 96.4 million manats returned to individuals and legal entities from state budget in 4 months

In January–April, a total of 96 million 494.7 thousand manats was returned from the state budget to individuals and legal entities.

This was stated in a message from the Ministry of Finance. The returned funds relate to the refund of VAT paid by individuals when purchasing goods in the retail trade and public catering sectors, as well as for services in the cultural sphere (theater, cinema, museums, concerts), medical services, including hotel services in the liberated territories. Additionally, the refund applies to VAT paid by foreigners when purchasing goods produced in Azerbaijan and not intended for commercial purposes within the country.

In addition, part of the VAT paid during cashless purchases of residential and non-residential premises from persons engaged in construction activities was returned, as well as overpaid other taxes, state duties, interest, and financial penalties.
