Azerbaijan to begin paying compensation to exporters of non-oil and gas products
Under President Ilham Aliyev's Decree "On additional measures to support the export of non-oil and gas products," entrepreneurs will begin receiving compensation for expenses related to export processing.
The document provides for state reimbursement of customs clearance expenses paid by micro, small, and medium-sized business entities when exporting non-oil and gas goods of Azerbaijani origin.
This is reported by 1news.az with reference to a statement by Milli Majlis deputy Vugar Bayramov.
The deputy noted that compensation payments will begin next month. The origin of the goods will be determined by a corresponding certificate, and the funds themselves may be received by micro, small, and medium-sized business entities exporting products of Azerbaijani origin. According to him, in this case the state will reimburse part of the customs clearance expenses for exported non-oil and gas goods.
"As for the amount of compensation, it will vary depending on the established limits of fees based on customs value. For compensation for export operations carried out from September 1, 2026, to September 30, 2031, an upper limit will be set for each export declaration, in accordance with which the payments will be made.
The provision of compensation will allow the state to provide more tangible support to exporting micro, small, and medium-sized entrepreneurs. This will also create conditions for changing the structure of non-oil and gas exports and diversifying them across sales markets," V. Bayramov added.
