Number of commercial organizations in Azerbaijan has grown - PHOTO
As of August 1, 2026, of the 1,715,746 taxpayers registered in the country, 86.7% were individuals, while 13.3% were legal entities and other organizations.
1news.az reports this citing the State Tax Service of Azerbaijan.
Compared with the same period last year, the total number of taxpayers rose by 4.8%, including a 4.6% increase in the number of individuals and a 5.9% increase in the number of legal entities.
As of August 1, the number of registered commercial organizations stood at 211,595, which is 6.7% more than the previous year's figure.
In July 2026, 1,257 commercial organizations underwent state registration. Of these, 86.1% were enterprises with local investment and 13.9% with foreign investment. At the same time, 82.7% of commercial organizations were registered electronically.
In January–July 2026, the share of electronic registration of limited liability companies with local investment amounted to 97.1%.
As of August 1, 2026, 92.2% of registered commercial legal entities were established in the form of limited liability companies.
