Gas Price in Europe Exceeds $650 Due to Closure of Strait of Hormuz
The price of gas on the exchange in Europe has surpassed $650 per 1,000 cubic meters for the first time since February 2023, according to data from the London-based ICE exchange.
This trend has been observed amid statements from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC, elite units of Iran's armed forces) about the closure of the Strait of Hormuz.
Earlier, the price had exceeded $600 per 1,000 cubic meters for the first time since February 2025.
