A mural honoring Macklemore created in Gaza after his removal from Ed Sheeran's tour – PHOTO

A large mural depicting American rapper Macklemore has been created in Gaza following his removal from British singer Ed Sheeran's upcoming tour.

As Reuters reports, the work was created by artists Anne Redwan and Qusay al-Helo. The mural is placed on a massive concrete slab among destroyed buildings in Gaza City.

In the image, Macklemore appears with a raised fist, wrapped in a Palestinian flag. Next to it is the inscription: "Thank you for using your voice in support of Palestine."

According to Redwan, in this way the artists wanted to express their gratitude to the rapper for his public stance – we recall that Macklemore was previously removed from the remaining concerts of Ed Sheeran's tour in the United States after his performances featuring statements in support of Palestine.
