26 June, a number of projects were presented on the territory of Primorsky National Park.

As AZERTAJ reports, Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leila Aliyeva and Head of the Baku Media Center Arzu Aliyeva took part in the events.

Opening of Boulevard Sports Club

First, the opening of Boulevard Sports Club took place in Primorsky National Park. The club was created after major repairs and reconstruction on the basis of the traditional tennis court complex.

Leila Aliyeva and Arzu Aliyeva familiarized themselves with the conditions created at the sports club.

The new sports club was created as part of efforts to promote a healthy lifestyle in Primorsky National Park, expand sports infrastructure, and increase opportunities for recreation. The club features a functional fitness hall equipped with modern equipment, padel tennis courts, and opportunities for dynamic sports activities.

Presentation of the WasteShark floating water purification device

Then, as part of measures to improve the ecological condition and ensure cleanliness of the Baku Bay water area within Primorsky National Park, an innovative floating water purification device, WasteShark, was presented. During the presentation, Leila Aliyeva and Arzu Aliyeva were shown the technical capabilities of the device.

The device is equipped with advanced technological solutions that allow it to quickly collect floating debris, biomass, and various pollutants in coastal zones, shallow waters, and closed water areas amid the declining water level in the Caspian Sea in recent years.

The remotely controlled device, equipped with special sensors and cameras and highly maneuverable, collects organic waste and pollutants from the water surface. WasteShark, which works effectively especially in hard-to-reach areas, is designed to expand opportunities for environmental monitoring and cleanup activities.

At the initial stage, the device is planned to be used for local cleanup work, and based on the results obtained, it will be introduced over a wider area of Baku Bay and in various formats of use.

It should be noted that the project was implemented on the initiative of Leila Aliyeva, Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and founder and head of the IDEA Public Association.

Presentation of phaetons with electric motors

Further, on the territory of Baku Boulevard, a new project was presented offering visitors a type of recreation and walks different from the traditional one — phaetons with electric motors.

First, Leila Aliyeva and Arzu Aliyeva were provided with information about the new project. It was noted that these modern vehicles with a characteristic appearance inherent in the phaeton traditions of the city of Baku allow for environmentally friendly, silent, and comfortable walks along a special route on the territory of the boulevard. The use of phaetons with electric motors is one of the steps taken to promote the principles of a modern, environmentally friendly, and sustainable urban environment. Then, the guests were offered a ride along the boulevard on electric phaetons.

During the opening and presentation ceremonies, Leila Aliyeva and Arzu Aliyeva met with city residents and took photos with them.
